A Modern Farmhouse palette is five tones, not a catalog of signs and slogans. Use a warm white wall, a wide oak floor, off-white upholstery, black iron, and a beige art or jute note.
The wall should be a warm white, not a bright cool white. The floor carries the wood color. The sofa stays slipcovered and quiet so the black iron lamp or window frame can do the contrast.
Keep pattern small. A plain botanical print is enough. A plaid blanket and log walls belong to Rustic, not Farmhouse. If the room turns honey-pine and stone, you have left Farmhouse.
Paint notes are tones, not brand names. Match a warm white chip in daylight, then a blackened iron finish for the lamp and the window. One green stem in a jug is the only extra color most rooms need.
